No space left on device

Hi,

I am trying to run a job at slurm but I get the following error:

cannot create temp file for here-document: No space left on device

Note that I had have running also other jobs which few of them are still running but most of them are already finished; so it should have space to run also other jobs.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Could you give us the jobid of your job (failed) ?
Maybe the /tmp directory is full on the node.

Hi,
I've got a similar issue, when trying to autocomplete with tab I get the following message :
bash: cannot create temp file for here-document: No space left on device
Thanks

Hi, thanks for your quick answer. The problem is that I don't have a jobid because the job never starts.
I also run the command df -h to check my space. It seems that the space for temporary files is full. Could you please tell me how I can clean this folder?

FileSystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/system-tmp 260G 260G 20K 100% /tmp

Ok, thanks for the information

It's fixed (/tmp was full on the second login node, I just clean the folder).

Have a good afternoon
