This category of community support aims at fostering the interactions between developers of bioinformatics resources (tools, databases), developers of the ELIXIR bio.tools catalogue and EDAM ontology, and the members of IFB workgroups concerned by tool registries (ELIXIR, catalogue of bioinformatics resources, interoperability, help desk).
The creation of this category is motivated by the need to engage communities of tool developers in the curation of their own tools in bio.tools in the context of the 2019 round of ELIXIR-FR Service Delivery Plan (SDP).
A proper annotation of these tools will also require to expand the EDAM ontology by adding the missing terms (data types, formats, operations) corresponding to the different domains of bioinformatics and biology.
Discussions should preferably be led in English, to enable bio.tools developer to directly intervene.
