RStudio Initialisation error

Hello,

I am reaching out regarding an issue I've encountered while attempting to connect to RStudio through the server. Since this morning, I have been receiving the following error message:

"Unable to establish connection with RStudio Server when executing 'client init'."

Could you please advise on how to resolve this matter? If there are any actions required from your end, please let me know.

This avoid this kind of error.

Hi,

I created a session through the link, and it seems to work. However, I am wondering if I will have access again to the previous link (https://rstudio.cluster.france-bioinformatique.fr) where I usually work, since I do not need to set a time limit and create sessions.

The historical RStudio Server and the JupyterHub portal will be maintained until Friday, March 15, 2024.

But I promise, Ondemand portal (https://ondemand.cluster.france-bioinformatique.fr/) is so much better !

  • limit time (12 hours max per session) but it's not a big deal, you can launch new sessions without restrictions
  • you can choose the R version !
  • you can request the amount of ressource needed (and much more ressources than the old server RStudio)
  • the ressources allocated are dedicated to you ! No slowness or crash due to another user
  • and other benefits...
