Good afternoon @team.software !
I am working on the parasite Theileria annulata and I would like to use the signalP6 tool to predict the signal peptides of every protein.
The SignalP6 web application is available here: BioLib
However, it seems the web application runs out with more than 50 peptides at a time.
If you could install the package on the cluster you would help me immensely
The proper channel to request it is:
https://services.healthtech.dtu.dk/cgi-bin/sw_request
Installation instructions are here:
# SignalP 6.0 signal peptide prediction tool
These instructions refer to the Python package available for download at https://services.healthtech.dtu.dk/service.php?SignalP-6.0.
## Installation
SignalP 6.0 is distributed as a Python package.
1. Unpack the downloaded `tar.gz` file.
2. \[Optional\]: Create a python environment to install the package in.
3. Open the directory containing the downloaded package, and install it by executing the following command.
```
pip install signalp-6-package/
```
4. Copy the model files to the location at which the signalp module got installed. The model weight files are large, so this might take a while.
(Alternatively, you can copy the directory to any other location on your system and run later with `signalp6 --model_dir /path/to/models/`)
```
SIGNALP_DIR=$(python3 -c "import signalp; import os; print(os.path.dirname(signalp.__file__))" )
cp -r signalp-6-package/models/* $SIGNALP_DIR/model_weights/
```
This file has been truncated. show original
I have also downloaded the package here:
/shared/projects/theileria_host_pathogen/signalP/signalp6_fast/signalp-6-package
Thank you in advance!

Hello
SignalP 6.0 is already available on the IFB core cluster. Just load the module:
module load signalp/6.0
Best regards,
